Clare Teal
Part of our Beyond The Sea Festival

Local theatre, festival and live entertainment producers Fit The Bill in association with Lowther Pavilion, are launching a weekend of jazz, soul and swing music over the May Bank Holiday weekend 2018 under the banner of Beyond The Sea festival.

Headlining on Sunday 27th May is the first lady of jazz, the queen of swing, Clare Teal and her seven piece band. From swing to sublime ballads, Clare Teals mini big band concerts are renowned across the country for their energetic exuberance.

Backed by a spectacular band of first rate musicians, award winning singer and BBC Radio 2 presenter Clare provides an evening of toe tapping big band songs which appeal to all and have the audience dancing in the aisles. The rich, jazz infused repertoire explores timeless classics penned by the legendary musical storytellers of the last 100 years with music from Cole Porter, George and Ira Gershwin, Jerome Kern, Johnny Mercer and Irving Berlin, and honouring the likes of Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone, Nancy Wilson and Peggy Lee throwing forward to more modern songsmiths such as Van Morrison, Sting and Clare herself.

As one of the UKs greatest interpreters of song and much-loved performers, Clare and her band promise a sparkling night of inspired music and unbridled entertainment.

Discounted tickets available for all three shows* and the Gospel Brunch at £89 (a saving of £31.50) or for two shows, contact the box office for discount.
