Headliner for Oct 1st is comedy Legend Mick Miller!
Mick Miller has had a long and successful career stretching over 40 years. He first came to prominence on the iconic ITV show The Comedians. He also made guest appearances on 3, 2, 1, Seaside Special, and Blankety Blank (with his good friend Les Dawson). Live theatre tours and summer season shows followed. In the 1980s Mick co-hosted his own Saturday evening show on ITV called The Funny Side along with Cheryl Baker and the late Mike Smith. Since then he has been in constant demand on the theatre circuit, working throughout the UK and in global venues. Mick has used his comedy talent and timing to land several acting roles. He has appeared in IDEAL with Johnny Vegas, and Peter Kay's Car Share. He fulfilled a lifetime ambition to work in Las Vegas when he was chosen to be part of the major ITV series Last Laugh in Vegas. Mick now works regularly in comedy clubs, and plays to young audiences. He is well respected by the younger generation of comedians. From his beginnings as a shiny shoed, frilly shirted, bow tied comedian in a dinner suit to working in the coolest of comedy clubs, this goes to prove that old's cool!
Joining Mick is:
Milo McCabe as his latest creation "Troy Hawke," an erudite homeschooled 1930’s throwback…the Errol Flynn of the high street. Educated, sophisticated, but utterly clueless. He tackles modern issues head on in his uniquely untimely manner. Milo has twice been nominated for the Amused Moose Best Edinburgh show award and was listed as GQ’s Top Ten comedy shows of the festival. TV credits include ITV’S Benidorm, BBC3’s Live at the Electric and various hidden camera and talking heads projects on Channel 4 and 5. As himself, he is shortly to appear in US documentary ‘Everyone has an Andy Dick story’. "Undeniably funny..” Chortle.
Brummie comedian & writer, Karen Bayley is the first ever female winner of the prestigious Comedy Store King Gong Award. The same year she reached the finals of the BBC New Comedy Award & The Babycham Funny Women Award. She recently completed an extensive UK and overseas tour, supporting Joe Lycett. Karen has also written for Joe on Celebrity Juice and 8 Out of 10 Cats.
"I saw her recently and she blew my socks off. She doesn’t dwell too much on ‘lady issues’ she was funny in her own right ,she was brilliant , clever and she’s going to be huge.” BBC online.
Hosted by Lytham's answer to Brad Pitt, Phil Walker "The next big thing" - Weightwatchers.
