The Sound of Musical Theatre Company returns to the Lowther Pavilion Theatre in May 2024 to present the global musical sensation, Les Misérables.
Based on Victor Hugo’s revolutionary novel, Les Misérables tells the story of Jean Valjean, a former convict who spends a lifetime seeking redemption. Set against the backdrop of 19th-century France and the aftermath of the French Revolution, Valjean’s quest for a new life is threatened by Inspector Javert and the ghosts of his past.
Les Misérables features one of the most memorable scores of all time, boasting iconic songs such as “I Dreamed a Dream,” “On My Own,” “Bring Him Home,” “Master of the House” and “One Day More”.
Les Misérables is an epic and uplifting story that has thrilled audiences all over the world and is described as one the greatest musicals ever written.
