About Other Roads

Other Roads the exciting and dynamic trio return again to the Lowther Pavilion as part of their UK tour for 2017.

Pete, Greg and Dave are one of the finest contemporary folk bands you will ever have the pleasure to hear. They perform their highly acclaimed original music and entertaining show regularly around the world from New Zealand and Australia to Germany, Denmark, Netherlands, Poland, Spain and the UK.

Coming from extraordinarily diverse backgrounds this exceptionally talented trio formed as OTHER ROADS after many years of performing as experienced soloists and collaborators of other musical ventures and it was evident from the outset that the chemistry was bang on. They were an instant success.

Pete is from Lancashire, Greg from the Highlands of Scotland and Dave from Zimbabwe in Africa.

They mainly write and perform their own music, but provide an eclectic mix of traditional and contemporary songs and tunes ranging from soft lilting ballads to foot-stomping celtic fiddle tunes and choruses incorporating fiddle, bouzouki, guitars and mandolin and some extremely fine harmony singing.

These talented multi-instrumentalists are always ready to engage with the audience. Their humour and good-natured attitude on stage is their hallmark and adds to their highly entertaining performances.

You might be encouraged to join in on a chorus or line in a song, which, unless delivered with enthusiasm, might prompt a dry comment or two from any one of them.

Their philosophy is to ensure that you are right royally entertained, and you will be!
