Join us at the Pavilion for an evening of laughter with Phil Walker’s Woofers Club.
Phil Walker hosts this evening of laughs, this month’s guest comedians are:
After starting comedy in late 2009, Scott has rapidly established himself as one of the fastest rising stars on the UK circuit. Likeable, with a warm and engaging delivery, he is a Yorkshire live wire. His debut hour stand up show “About a Roy: Stories about me dad” was nominated for the highly acclaimed Amused Moose Comedy Award and was selected as one of the top ten shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2015. Recently Scott was also thrilled to be selected to do a support slot for Michael Mcyntire as part of his work in progress shows This year in 2017 Scott supported his comedy hero, Rob Brydon on two of his UK tour dates for his latest show “I am Standing Up.” – Clearly has a big future, flashes of Peter Kay, Jason Manford and John Bishop” Bruce Dessau, Amused Moose Finals Review 2015.
Clad in a sartorially edifying manner, like a dapper and dandy funeral director, Anthony cuts a unique on-stage presence with humour blacker than a raven that’s slammed it’s claw in a coffin lid and not the merest hint of profanity. The overall effect is both perversely hypnotic and wholly original, leaving the audience zealously hanging on to every syllable like turncoat lemmings on a rockface. As seen on The Stand Up Show and Phoenix Nights. – “Dark quips and relentlessly witty audience-goading ad-libbing from a compelling host.” City Life.
