Russell Hastings & the band performing THE BEST OF THE JAM and BEYOND.
The 20th Anniversary Tour 2005 - 2025
Russell Hastings alongside the late great Rick Buckler who sadly passed away earlier this year formed a band in 2005 called "The Gift". Their first gig was at The Brook in Southampton that year. 18 months later Bruce Foxton joined the band and "FROM THE JAM" was born.
Russell has been the only frontman to work in the same band with both Rick Buckler and Bruce Foxton since Paul Weller left The Jam in 1982 and has been earning respect from fans across the world as a lead vocalist/guitarist and frontman for twenty years.
As a genuine Jam fan, his passion and understanding of The Jam's history is second to none and has toured the world playing to packed houses of Jam fans for years.
Russell wrote all the tracks on the Foxton/Hastings albums including "Back In The Room", "Smash the Clock" and "The Butterfly Effect". all three albums charted high in the official British charts and was received with great acclaim.
Russell has also recorded alongside Paul Weller, Steve Cropper and the Late Great Wilko Johnsonto name just a few.
This show will be a Rock and Rollercoaster ride through both The Jam and From the Jam's careers collectively.
Russell will be joined on stage by his fellow From the Jam Bandmates, Mike Randon, Andy Fairclough and Gary Simons as he takes you back to 1977 and revisits the first album "In the City" right up to the last album "The Butterfly Effect".
There will be some great stories from the road including his time in the studio with Paul Weller, the formation of The Gift with the late great Rick Buckler and the final piece of the jigsaw with Bruce Foxton.
The public will get what the public wants...
Please note that Bruce Foxton will not be performing on this gig
