Woofers comedy club is back indoors! Featuring some of the best comedic talents in live comedy right on your doorstep here on the fylde Coast. Hosted by our very own regular MC Phil Walker, you are pretty much guaranteed a great night of side-splitting fun!
Headlining is the brilliant rising star that is Carl Hutchinson!
A comedy prodigy starting stand up comedy in 2007 just one year into his mathematics degree at Newcastle University, Carl quickly became a multi-award winning comedian.
He’s now well on his way to being one of the leading acts in the country. A big favourite on Comedy Central and so much so he’s the support act of choice for TV comedian, Chris Ramsey (BBC1s Live at the Apollo, and pretty much all the panel shows including ITVs Celebrity Juice and Never Mind the Buzzcocks etc). Normally the household names change support act for each tour but he’s been chosen for all of them!
Carl’s debut Edinburgh Fringe Festival solo show ‘Acceptable?’ made the Top 10 shows of the Amused Moose Laughter Awards 2012. In 2010 Carl starred in ITV’s FHM Comedy Hero and was part of Just the Tonic’s Big Value Edinburgh Showcase in 2011.
Over the past two years, Carl has supported sell out tours with WWE Legend Mick Foley on his UK tour and Chris Ramsey on his tour The Most Dangerous Man on Saturday Morning Television.
Carl has that immediately likeable star quality and uses it to get away with quite grumpy material about modern life that only makes you love him all the more.
“Almost argumentative and very funny” BBC
Joining Carl is one of my favourites, the multi-talented Silky.
Liverpudlian-in-exile Silky has always been hilarious. At only his fourth ever gig he was on BBC1 in the final of the 1995 BBC New Comedy Awards alongside Lee Mack (Mock The Week, Not Going Out) and Julian Barratt (Mighty Boosh). He’s an award winning act coming runner-up in Leicester Mercury Comedian of The Year and had been Nominee Liverpool Echo Arts and Entertainment Award twice.
TV Appearances Include The Stand-Up Show (BBC), The World Stands Up (Paramount) and the Comics Lounge (AUS).
'Left me with aching stomach muscles, teary eyes and a need to buy more anti-wrinkle cream for the laughter lines around my eyes’ BBC
‘a very, very funny fella … just brilliant’ John Bishop
‘funny and clever’ Tim Minchin.
Rising star Rachel is an Edinburgh native with a quick mind and a sharp tongue. She has made somewhat of a name for herself in Scotland and is renowned for her fearless style and candid yet loveable demeanour.
She has developed several sketches for the BBC culminating in a web series entitled Bunny Boiler for BBC Three which she also wrote and was received with critical acclaim. She performed her debut hour at The Edinburgh Fringe last year and wowed audiences and critics alike. Earning rave reviews and many new fans.
She is also an accomplished actress and has been seen in ‘Two Door’s Down’, ‘Outlander’ ‘Scot Squad’ and two major feature films "Beats" & "I saw Black clouds."
