A sick child came to the children's hospital. Not long after, another sick child came. He was afraid of injections. He was also afraid of injections.

He was afraid the other would say he wasn't brave. He was afraid the other would laugh at him. In order not to be looked down upon by the other, they competed to see who was braver.

In the hospital, they read books together, painted using white bed sheets and jam, hid from the nurses, and sometimes loved playing pranks.
