Booking Terms & Conditions

Tickets are sold by Lowther Gardens (Lytham) Management Ltd [Lowther Pavilion] (Company Registration Number 07520640) as the operating company for Lowther Gardens (Lytham) Trust (Charity Registration Number 1117054) Lowther Pavilion Theatre, West Beach, Lytham, FY8 5QQ; on behalf of producers, promoters and event organisers, as well as for our in-house productions.

 

Refunds

Tickets will not be refunded unless a performance is cancelled or abandoned when less than half the performance has taken place.

 

Cancellations and Changes to Performance Schedules

In the case that an event is cancelled and cannot be re-scheduled all customers will receive a full refund of the face value on their purchased tickets.

In the event of a change or cancellation to the performance schedule, ticket holders will be notified via the contact details left by the purchaser with the Theatre. The Theatre is not liable for any changes or inaccuracies in these details which may prevent the ticket holder being contacted. In the case of a group booking, the organiser who purchased the tickets is deemed responsible for communicating any changes to the group.

 

Exchanges & Resales

The exchange of tickets to a different performance of the same show is subject to a charge of £2 per ticket.

Due to the nature of live theatre stage adaptations may differ from film or literary versions of the same title. Artists, programmes, performance times and other details may be subject to last minute change.

 

Agency Tickets

Agent’s tickets are accepted on the understanding that the agent is acting for the customer and not for the Lowther Pavilion. Where any issue or complaint relating to these tickets occurs the customer should contact the sales agents directly. The Lowther Pavilion cannot process any information or change related to these tickets and accepts no responsibility for the booking or delivery of these tickets. 

 

Delivery by Post

The Lowther Pavilion utilises Royal Mail services for the delivery and postage of purchased tickets. All tickets are delivered first class postage and passed for delivery with 24 hours of booking, the Lowther Pavilion takes no responsibility for the car and delivery of these tickets beyond this point.

Where customers have not received their tickets within 7 working days of booking please contact the Lowther Pavilion Box Office to arrange for a collection on the day of the event from the Box Office (proof of ID may be required).

 

Discounts & Ticket Prices

The Lowther Pavilion reserves the right to introduce discounts, special offers and deals at any time, these do not apply to already purchased tickets unless, where applicable, to upgrade offers. The introduction of the above does not constitute grounds for any refund or exchange. All ticket prices are subject to change without notice or general announcement.

Concessionary prices are offered on selected performances and are available on a specific basis. Where offered; Child tickets are for young persons under 16, Senior rates may be applicable for patrons over the age of 65 years. 

Where applicable specific concessions may be made for customers with valid Student ID/ Services ID etc.

It is the policy of the Lowther Pavilion that all children under the age of 16 are accompanied by an appropriate adult. 

In the case of Young Carers please refer to the “Essential Companion Ticket” policy on the Lowther Pavilions website.

 

Gift Vouchers

Gift vouchers are valid for 24 months from the date of purchase.

After purchasing or receiving a gift voucher, these cannot be refunded or exchanged for cash. 

Gift vouchers can only be used to purchase show tickets, car parking tickets and on a Friends of Lowther Pavilion memberships.

Event and venue arrangements

Refreshments

It is not permitted to bring your own refreshments including alcohol into the theatre and the management reserves the right to dispose of any items not purchased in the theatre.


Security Checks

For the safety and comfort of all customers, bags larger than a handbag will not be permitted in the auditorium. The Lowther Pavilion reserves the right to carry out random bag checks where necessary for the safety and security of its staff, patrons and the general public. Contraband may be withheld and in some instances, entail a refusal of entry into the performance.


Age & Content Guidance

We aim to assist individuals in judging the suitability of production at the time of booking, however, The Lowther Pavilion accepts no responsibility for any offence which may be caused. Age guidance may relate to themes of an adult nature, language, nudity or themes considered unsuitable for younger audiences.


Arriving late

If you arrive late for the start of a performance or after an interval we appreciate that you will want to take your seat as soon as possible. We will do everything possible to assist. To limit disturbance to fellow audience members and artists we may have to ask you to wait until a suitable break in the performance. Occasionally this may not be possible once the performance has started.


Conditions of entry

Our staff & front of house team are here to enhance your experience and to ensure your safety at all times. Please follow any guidance they give in the interest of everyone’s safety.

No member of the audience will be permitted to sit in any gangway which intersects or flanks the seating.

The taking of photographs, capturing of images or the use of any recording devices including mobile phones during any performance is strictly prohibited.

On occasion either the venue or a permitted third party may carry out general filming and sound recording in or about the venue. By purchasing tickets you consent to you and your party being included in and to the exploitation of such films and recordings without payment.


Children & Disruption

Tickets are required for each child attending a performance. Parents are reminded that some performances are not suitable for young children. If your child is causing a disturbance to other customers, you will be asked to remove them from the auditorium and no refunds will be given.


Special Effects

If you are concerned about inclusion of any special effects during a performance, please ask at the time of booking, although the inclusion of these may not be notified to the theatre until the actual performance dates. Please check the foyer notice for more information when you visit the theatre.


Merchandise

The Theatre cannot accept any responsibility for the sale of official show merchandise.


Special Requirements

Any patron who requires a wheelchair users space is required to advise the Theatre at the time of booking. Any other special requirements, such as extra wide or long wheelchair space, headset, must be advised at the time of booking as such requests may not be able to be implemented retrospectively.


The Management of Lowther Gardens (Lytham) Management Ltd. [Lowther Pavilion] reserve the right to:

  • refuse admission to the premises and any of its venues

  • request any ticket holder to leave the venue, and take appropriate action to enforce this right

  • change the advertised arrangements of any performance in the event of illness or any cause beyond our control. This includes non-appearance of any named artist.

  • charge any customer, (the person who made the booking), for any theatre property that needs repairing or cleaning as a direct result of customer actions.
