Youth Theatre (Ages 6 - 18)

Youth theatres meet on Saturdays during term time.  Each week, they learn drama skills, build confidence and make new friends.  Whether young people are interested in going on to further study, or just want to try something creative, all are welcome.  No auditions.  When we perform shows, everyone gets a part.  For children aged 0-6, please see Children and Early Years information.

Junior Youth Theatre (Ages 6 - 10)

Saturday 9.30am-11am or Saturdays 1.30pm – 3pm

Develop drama skills, confidence and creativity.  Take part in exciting performance opportunities, play games, make friends, create shows and become part of one of our lively, welcoming groups. This age group is popular and we have two groups each Saturday.  People are welcome to try either one.

“Her confidence has sky rocketed since she’s worked with you and it’s a real credit to all your hard work and encouragement.” – Parent, Junior Youth Theatre

Senior Youth Theatre (Ages 11 - 18)

Saturdays 11am – 1pm

Seniors improvise, write, create and perform devised and scripted work on stage as well as more unusual locations.  We aim to create a space where people feel safe to be themselves; respected and welcomed, whilst balancing this with challenges, fun and humour.

They work to create a strong ensemble, making friends and building confidence and creativity.  Our Seniors take part in National Theatre Connections each year, rehearsing a full length script by a living professional playwright.  In 2024, we are performing Back in the Day by Yasmeen Khan at Lowther Pavilion Theatre and Blackpool Grand.

“…such a lovely show, really enjoyed it. I love how imaginative they are, full of confidence too, thank you for all the hard work and time you have put in for them….”

– Parent, Senior Youth Theatre
