With Easter just over a week away, Lowther Pavilion Theatre are giving chocolate lovers the chance to get their hands on a staggering amount of chocolate for as little as £2.
As part of their Easter family celebrations, a 12.5kg chocolate Easter egg is being raffled off in aid of raising funds for the venue’s permanent outdoor classroom and landscaping. The new outdoor space will allow the Lytham-based venue to take their extensive education programme out into the historic gardens and help remove barriers to creative participation for people from all backgrounds and communities.
Anthony Price, Lowther’s Head of Marketing, said: “Although we’ve recently had some incredibly generous donations that have enabled the shell of the new Education and Studio Theatre to begin construction this July, we’re still putting fundraising at the forefront to ensure we have different access points for the community to come together in a safe way.”
“For the first of our outdoor festivals this year, we wanted to have something different and it happened to be that the ‘something different’ was a 12.5kg edible Easter egg!”
The luxury, 30 inch egg is being expertly crafted by award-winning, Manchester-based chocolatiers Slattery’s. – a family run business that has been the UK’s finest Patissier and Chocolatier since 1967.
“Funnily enough, there isn’t a postage box designed for it, so we’re planning a very tactical mission to collect it from Manchester and bring it back to the Fylde Coast so it can be on display for our Easter festival.”
Raffle tickets for the biggest Easter egg on the Fylde Coast are being sold for £2 per entry, with the raffle being drawn on Monday 10 April. The staggering prize will need to be picked up from the Lowther Pavilion Theatre & Gardens by the winner.
To enter the raffle, either purchase a ticket in person during Lowther’s Easter Surprise festival or online at https://lowtherpavilion.co.uk/shows/win-one-of-the-biggest-easter-eggs-on-the-fylde-coast/
