Two days of celebrations planned at Lowther Pavilion Theatre & Gardens for King’s coronation

The Lowther Pavilion Theatre in Lytham, who have been at the heart of Entertainment on the Fylde Coast since 1921, have announced how audiences can celebrate the coronation of King Charles III in their historic theatre and gardens.

Tim Lince, Lowther’s Artistic Director/CEO, said: “Following on from the positive feedback we received after choosing to live-stream the State Funeral last year, we already knew we wanted to offer a safe space for people within the community to come together and celebrate the crowning of King Charles III.”

Over the two days in May, audiences will be able to watch a live-stream of the coronation proceedings on the big screen, and/or attend an Afternoon Tea in the award-winning Lowther Gardens.

Although the live-streaming of the event is free of charge, attendees are required to purchase a ticket for £2.50, which will see them also receive a hot drink and slice of cake from the Lowther Pavilion Cafe.

Following the live-stream, audiences will be invited to join the Lowther Pavilion in their outdoor marquee for a special afternoon tea consisting of a selection of hand-made sandwiches, savouries, cakes, scones and of course, tea!
