Lowther Pavilion to host family Easter weekend

Following on from the incredible success of the Lytham Ice Cream and World Food & Drink Festivals last summer, we will once again open our historic garden this Easter.

Named Lowthers Easter Surprise, the event comes with a varied, family-friendly programme of events and activities. Whether it’s egg rolling, hot cross buns in the park, free performances of Alice in Wonderland, walk-around characters, Peter Rabbit drive-in screenings, Creative Crafts marquee, children’s funfair and more.

Anthony Price, Marketing Officer, said: Its great to be back outside and welcoming people into our gardens. This year, we wanted to kickstart our festivals with something even more family-focused, and Easter seemed like the perfect opportunity.”

On Easter Sunday, join the team in association with The Villa Hotel in Wrea Green for a two-course meal. This classic Sunday roast will be accompanied by music from talented jazz musicians. Afterwards, indulge in a slice of British tradition with Easter Afternoon Tea.

Its also great to be working with The Villa Hotel in Wrea Green to provide an experience for families to come together over food and entertainment we dont, as a theatre, usually provide.”

Throughout the weekend, why not win an Easter egg by participating in the Easter Rabbit Treasure Trail or win a basket of your favourite chocolate and theatre tickets in the Easter bonnet parade.

Families are invited to make use of the grass and benches for picnics.

Lowther’s Easter Surprise is a free-to-enter event that will take place on Friday 15th – Monday 18th April, 11am – 5pm.
