Headliner this month we welcome Canadian comedy superstar,
Glenn Wool.
Glenn began his comedy career in his hometown of Vancouver in 1995… Made the move to London in 1998 and quickly became one of the rising stars, and household names on the UK & European comedy circuits. He has toured all over the world including: Australia, New Zealand, USA, South Africa, Switzerland, France, Croatia, Arabia & Asia (to name a few!) Winning over audiences globally and a TV favourite on the Melbourne, Sydney & New Zealand International Comedy Galas. Glenn was nominated for Best International Act at the New Zealand Comedy Awards and was twice nominated as Best Headliner at the Chortle Awards. His impressive array of TV credits include John Oliver’s 'New York Stand-Up Show' as well as appearances on: The Green Room with Paul Provenza, 8 Out of 10 Cats, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Russell Howard’s Good News! Glenn was a highlight on The John Bishop Show (BBC1) and hosted a new NBC series Before the Morning After. "An hour with Wool is worth about ten hours with many other comics.” ★★★★ The Scotsman.
Paul F Taylor.
Paul is simply one of the gems of the circuit. His warm a loveable stage presence compliments his silly and cleverly written material that he has seen him establish himself as a headliner in both the UK and overseas. As an actor Paul has appeared in numerous advert campaigns including adverts for companies such as Duracell, Go Daddy & Euro Millions. It has also seen him appear in an incredible 11! Short Films. Also appearing on Harry Hill’s Club Nite, Channel 4 2019. In 2013 he won the prestigious NATY award (Formerly The Hackney Empire New Act Of The Year Award). He also performs sketch comedy alongside Rebecca Shorrocks as the Chortle Award Nominated “Short and Curly”. Has provided tour support for Lucy Porter & Shappi Khorsandi as well as performing across the globe.
Stephanie Laing.
Stephanie started performing in April 2007 on the Scottish comedy circuit. She quickly established herself as one of the most promising acts of her generation on the circuit, and in 2015 appeared as a finalist in the prestigious Leicester Mercury Comedian Of The Year competition. Stephanie is best described as goofy and peculiar, and her comedy is partway between the needy oddness of Maria Bamford and the upbeat affability of Josie Long. Her material is a mix of silliness, filth and unusual observations, underpinned by a disarming honesty which makes her seem charmingly vulnerable. Now a regular on the circuit Stephanie has also become a stalwart of comedy festivals across the country having appeared at Brighton Fringe, Leicester Comedy Festival, York Comedy Festival, Bath Comedy Festival, Women in Comedy Festival as well as appearing at the Edinburgh Fringe every year since 2010. Not content with just performing in the UK Stephanie has also appeared at UCB in New York & The Laugh Factory in L.A.
